In Summary, these were the activities that i had done during the past 2 and a half month of my industrial training.

1. Information collection of Vernonia amygladina
2. Preparation of mice to test the efficacy of a product & treatment on the next day
3. Proper mouse handling
4. Preparation of Buffer
• Tris-Glycine SDS Electrophoresis Buffer (5X) (1Liter)
• Transfer Buffer (10X) (1 Liter)
• Tris-Buffered Saline (TBS)(10X) (1 Liter)
• Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS) (10X)(1 Liter)
5. Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE)
• Sample Loading
• Dilution of 5X SDS Buffer to 1X
6. Western Blot
• Pre-Treatment of PVDF or Nitrocellulose Membrane
• Dilution of 10X Transfer Buffer to 1X*
• Preparation of 5% skim milk in 1X TBS
7. Detection of Proteins, Immunologicallly
• Preparation of 1X TBST
• Protein washing
• Dilution of Primary* and Secondary* Antibodies
• Membrane incubation with antibody
• Preparation of Enhance Chemiluminol Reagent
• Film Exposure
• Tracing and Stripping of membrane after exposure
8. Cells Scrapping
9. Membrane Staining Techniques
10. DNA and RNA Quantification
11. Total RNA digestion by DNase 1 – Amplification Grade
12. Reverse Transcriptase polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR)
13. Preparation of 1% and 2% Agarose Gel
• Agarose Gel Electrophoresis
• View result using UV Transluminator Device
14. Post Mortem of mouse and rats (observation and minor help)
15. Observation of the Acrylamide Gel preparation
16. Histotechniques
17. Protein Extraction

Assalamualaikum! Hi guys! Sorry sebab lama giler xpost. Busy la... Practical la katakan... Huhu!

Speaking about practical, today is actually my last day doing practical at IMR. Sedey la jugak.. terpaksa tinggalkan kwn2 yg len, Supervisor, RA and RO yang byk bagi tunjuk ajar... Sob2...

To Dr. Noor Rain, Mr Cheah, Fariza and the others, thank you so much for the experience. Mr Cheah, thanks la sebab sudi mengajar saya yg lembab ni. You are a good teacher. Fariza, hahaha! Serious but funny at most of the time (xtahan gelak bila teringat pasal a bug in the agarose gel. Hahahaha! bengong tol.).

To Tamrin, Mizan, Kak Azrina, En. Sawaji, Mr. Muthu, Kak Siti, En. Lan, seronok ada orang2 macam korg sumer kat ofis. Xder la rasa pressure sgt bila nak datang bekerja. Hahaha!

To Ila, Siti, Fizah, Suhana, Huda and Shin, korang memang best! Best ar lepak2 ngan korg kat meeting room belakang borak2. To Kak saliza oso, thank you for all the stories yg macam2. Mengarut pn ada. Hahaha!

I had learned a lot from my industrial training and i hope i really can apply it in the future. Seriously. It will be a waste if i never use it in my lab session or whatsoever. Because of this, i thinking of chosing BioPharmaceutical as one of my elective subject in my final year. Maybe, in this subj, i will be able to apply all the skills that i had learned at IMR. Huhu!
